I couldn’t put this gripping courtroom drama down! It made me realise how little I knew about how justice is actually measured out (or not!) through the jury system. Baylis brilliantly illuminates the process through the perspectives of different characters and their particular life experiences. It gave me so much to think about as a parent, as a woman, as a potential jury member. Nothing is black and white. This is fascinating, masterful, important storytelling.
