Swimming in the Dark

A captivating and cataclysmic romance set against the crumbling socialist dream in 1980s Poland. Ludwik and Janusz are brought together on a state-mandated summer camp and together begin an affair that will change both of their lives irrevocably. This is a beautiful and heartrending story of love against all odds and the bittersweet impermanence of life. Thoroughly recommend for fans of André Aciman, Philippe Besson and Alan Hollinghurst.
