A very intellectually engaging science fiction drama. I cried at the end, it was so ambiguous and thoughtful.
Perhaps the greatest fantasy series I’ve ever read. I’m sure many of the characters are going to be cemented in my mind and heart forever.
This first novel of the nine-volume series is an action-packed intro to space-opera-style science fiction fantasy.
Very rarely would I so highly recommend a book but this one qualifies. It’s definitely in my top ten this year
Guaranteed to satisfy discerning sci-fi readers and should capture the interest of readers of literary fiction.
Space opera on the grandest of scales. Alien parasites, light speed ships and human colony worlds, this book has it all.
This book had me slamming it down in anger only to immediately pick it back up again – needing to know what comes next.
