I sped through this book! It’s a fast paced fantasy, and while there’s not a lot of romance for a fantasy romance, the romance that does happen is intriguing and there’s a thoroughly entertaining ‘rebel tries to start a fantasy civil war’ plot that kept me rapidly turning pages! If you’re a fan of immersive world building & headstrong heroines, you’ll love this novel – the first in a 4-book series! And that cliff-hanger had me LUNGING to read book 2.
