Woman, Eating
by Claire Kohda
Review by Sarah
Woman, Eating is a bristling tale of growing up, being mixed race and a deep vampiric hunger. If you love the ‘Sad Literary Woman’ genre, this deeply character-driven novel will absorb you with its whimsical and lucid tone. It’s an easy read that’s a bunch of fun with that special touch of melancholy. I promise you, you’ve never read vampires like this before. For lovers of My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Ottessa Moshfegh, Love in the Big City by Sang Young Park and Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder.
