Dictionary of Lost Words

Review by Bel
What an exquisitely gentle, quietly profound read. It may be a book about words, but it’s also a beautifully moving story about silence and the things we can’t express. Esme’s story unfolds with a dignified patience belonging to another era. It’s measured, contemplative and rich with historical detail. Reading it gave me such a delicious, soothing escape – like sinking into a warm bath. I highly recommend it. A must for book lovers! And now there’s a companion novel out now too: The Bookbinder of Jericho.
