Since her delightful debut cookbook Always Add Lemon, I have kept a keen eye out for any new offerings from Danielle Alvarez.

Every one of these recipes is a carefully thought-out and spot-on composition of seasonal ingredients and balanced components. There’s technical brilliance and a deep appreciation of the cuisines represented, but she’s not afraid to add unconventional twists in the pursuit of flavour.

Unfussy and toothsome combinations that make sense!
