Metamorphosis
by Franz Kafka
Review by Sam
My favourite short story/novella of all time. Brilliant atmosphere and symbolism which elicits the alienation that is so important in Kafka’s works. Read with particular attention to the context of rising industrialism and European antisemitism in 1915.
