The Jellyfish is a collection of personal poems, showing the struggles of everyday life as a mentally ill queer person.
Through love and hardship, art can be found and made
an outlet for those in need, and those who have found themselves rejected by the ones in power.
See the world through the spectacle of a young woman,
find the anger and pain that sits under the skin and hides in the pages

The Jellyfish
By Mason Gilbert
Review by Lou
These poems are so raw and honest and filled with anguish in an utterly compelling way. Gilbert talks about sorrow and pain and love and heartbreak, they talk about fear and failure and the dark, messy side of mental illness. These poems are agonising with a completely relatable feel. I can’t wait to see what Mason Gilbert brings next.
