Written by Claire Le Couteur, the book follows the history of this well-known Christchurch Art Deco building, which for nearly a century housed specialist medical and dental surgeries. In later years the tenants included lawyers, real estate agents, accountants and others as medical specialists moved into new premises in the city’s suburbs. The book contains short biographical details of these specialists over the decades and some interviews with former tenants.
