The third spicy, swoon-worthy rom-com from Amy Lea, author of Set on You and Exes and O’s
In a last ditch attempt to rescue her brand from the brink of irrelevance, fashion influencer Melanie Karlsen finds herself in a rural fishing village on the east coast of Canada. The only thing scarier than nature itself? Burly fisherman Evan Whaler – who single-handedly disproves the theory that canadians are ‘nice’.
After a boating incident lands Evan in the hospital, Mel is mistaken for his fiancee by his welcoming yet quirky family. And, in exchange for Evan’s help with her social media content, Mel agrees to fake their engagement for just one week.
But reeling in their budding feelings for each other proves more difficult than expected.
Is Mel willing to sacrifice her picture-perfect life in the city for a chance at true love in the wild?

The Catch
By Amy Lea
Review by Lou
If The Long Game by Elena Armas and It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey had a baby, the result would be this book. Mel is a lifestyle influencer from Boston and instead of enjoying the luxury paid-for retreat she was meant to be on, she ends up in a mildly dilapidated B&B run by broody sea captain, Evan. They’re complete opposites that fit together like puzzle pieces, regardless of Mel’s uptown city girl aesthetic and his homebody, unplugged fisherman vibe, these two complement each other beautifully. The character development, acceptance and understanding in this book kept me eagerly turning every page. I loved the way this series concluded, and I can’t wait for more from Amy Lea.
