This booklet describes the Canterbury shoreline from Gore Bay to Timaru, including Christchurch and Lyttelton Harbour. Every area has a map with details of access, walks, picnic spots, boat ramps, toilets, playgrounds and camping. Although there is some overlap of information with the author’s other books, many of the descriptions here are new and more detailed. Banks Peninsula is covered in a separate booklet. The Canterbury coast is over 300 km long and it’s easy to forget how diverse it really is. North Canterbury has the popular Gore Bay beach as well as the wild limestone cliff shoreline at Nape Nape. Motunau Beach, Amberley Beach, Waikuku Beach are perfect family day-out (or weekend) places to visit, with coastline walks, playgrounds and campgrounds
