Tremor
by Teju Cole
Review by Rosa
Tremor by Teju Cole is a genre-bending gem that transcends traditional boundaries, dancing between fiction and non-fiction, storytelling and academia. Through fragmented yet controlled prose, Cole explores the interconnectedness of the human ecosystem, and delves deeply into themes of art and architecture, literature and music, empathy and alienation, weaving them together like a collage. Asking questions about the morality and mortality of history and representation, Tremor is a narrative that is equal parts brutal and beautiful. It sure made me think a lot and is something I would love to dip back into!
