Lyrical, whimsical, romantic, and wanderlust-inducing, The Seven Skins of Esther Wilding takes you from a small seaside town in Australia, to the charming city of Copenhagen, then all the way to the Faroe Islands, as Esther tries to understand what happened to her older sister, Aura. Simultaneously a story of grief, hope, self-discovery, and simple kindnesses, it was an incredibly peaceful read, and I didn’t want it to end because it so utterly transported me in such vivid ways with its beautifully simple prose, complete with little sprinklings of myth and magic.
