The Chestnut Man
By Soren Sveistrup
Review by Sophie
Brutal murders with small chestnut dolls left behind…it’s the making of a nightmare, yet I still found myself gripped until the very end. It’s much like those psychological thriller films that carry unease in every scene, but are so morbidly intriguing you just have to keep watching. Not for the faint hearted, this scandi-noir exudes the perfect chilling atmosphere that will transport you right into the gritty heart of Denmark, all from the queasy first chapter. So, if you’re in the mood for something that won’t leave you warm and fuzzy but perhaps needing a blanket… with all enthusiasm, I highly recommend it!
