This is a very fast paced and action-packed book, set in a technologically superior future where humanity rules the solar system and society is separated into a strict caste system of genetically altered superhumans. We follow a character who is consumed by grief, rage, and revenge, and his determination to infiltrate and take down the ruling caste of this society makes for an incredibly fascinating read. I also thoroughly enjoyed reading about the society itself; it’s varying cultures, architecture, technology, and ideas. Pierce Brown has created not only a very entertaining story and absorbing characters, but a solar system of peoples and technology that was captivating to learn about at well. This is a great start to an amazing series.
