The Idiot is one of my favourite books and Batuman is quite possibly my favourite contemporary author. The way she captures every emotion, creating the most authentic and relatable characters, is next to none. I will read anything she puts out! Thankfully, there’s an equally brilliant sequel: Either/Or.
