This was slow burn goodness! I loved the message this book sends about not diminishing or stigmatising the romantic genre as not ‘real’ reading, and all the many references to your favourite books and authors make it feel cosy and familiar.

This enemies-to-lovers romance follows Sophie, an undisclosed romance writer attempting to stay anonymous as her debut novel goes viral and her parents repeatedly criticize her very book, and Joe, the person who handled the marketing of said book, as they get caught in a lie and have to navigate their way out of it.

I would recommend this book to any slow burn romance lover and equally anyone that feels the need to judge the validity of romance books.
