Review by Ray
This is a creative and action-packed current-day sci-fi about a shady corporation manifesting and weaponising nostalgia. It’s a fascinating premise that I must admit lost me (a novice sci-fi reader) on occasion, but the two investigators hired to work it all out more than made up for it and are absolute stand-outs of my reading this year. Charming, complex, with pitch-perfect dialogue, I was totally invested in their development. And despite my (minor) struggles with the plot, I came away totally satisfied. A thought-provoking, wild, addictive read.
