I’m Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
Review by Claude
Brutal. A powerful memoir that called into question so many things I thought I knew about the shows I aimlessly watched when I was 8. McCurdy is a fabulous writer, and this book feels authentic and unpretentious. Her voices carries through the pages with such rawness. There’s some pretty dark stuff in here, but the reader is left with hope and pride for the author’s journey. This book is a truly remarkable journey, from someone who may well become the voice of a generation.
