Anarchist Communism
By Peter Kropotkin
Review by Liam
A great deal of emphasis is placed on reading classic texts of left-wing politics, such as Capital and On Authority, but comparatively little attention is given to Anarchist thought and its academic value.
This title was first published well over a century ago, yet its thesis of a collective democratic future still holds a great deal of relevance to our modern struggles with authoritarianism and class struggle.
The way in which Kropotkin formulates and expresses his ideas is surprisingly readable, making this an illuminating read. Informative both of Kropotkin’s contemporary challenges and of our own.
