Stay True
by Hua Hsu Review by Josh
An often frantic, regularly profound, and deeply heartbreaking coming of age memoir focuses on Hua and his friendship with Ken. Told in snippets of university life from the ages of 18 through to their mid-20s, the books deals with what it means to be Asian in America, the depth of friendship, and it’s importance during young adulthood. A clear labour of love from Hua as he works to find the right words of remembrance for Ken. His emotional honesty is as gut wrenching as it is beautiful.
