How to Change Your Mind
By Michael Pollan
Review by Harriet
Reading Michael Pollan’s writing is like a cleanse for my brain. He has such a clear, curious and open way of approaching and expressing complex topics without being either didactic or waffly. This is particularly helpful here where he turns his bind to psychedelics – a subject historically clouded with politics and biases from all sides. A fascinating personal and historical account of their history, use and potential for treatment of addiction, depression and palliative care. One of my all-time favourite nonfiction reads.
