Clementine and Hamlet are lab mice, kidnapped to ensure their lives are not donated to science. Clementine is extra brilliant, plays chess, speaks Latin, and communicates via imaginary letters written to her chimpanzee friend Rosie, also held captive in the lab. This story has a happy ending for animals!
