About the speakers

Dr Frances Pitsilis is New Zealand’s “doctor of good health”. She has been featured in the media for many years including the 2012 series Is Modern Medicine Killing You?

Dr Frances is a Western-trained doctor, specialising in Occupational Medicine, nutrition, bioidentical hormones, and natural therapies. Qualified in Anti-Aging, Integrative, Preventative, and Regenerative medicine, she is an international conference speaker in these areas. She is also a trusted media commentator, educating and informing audiences through television, radio and print media. Her work has empowered many to take control of their health, advocating for a preventative, science-based approach.

Dr. Pitsilis runs a private practice in Milford, Auckland treating patients with chronic and challenging illnesses. Additionally, she runs a holistic cosmetic clinic at the same location where she optimises skin and appearance from the inside. Today, Dr Pitsilis is here to discuss her bestselling book, Well Woman.

Liz Grant is a writer and editor with a background in broadcasting. She is a regular session chair at WORD festival events, which she particularly enjoys. Liz is the author of four books of non-fiction, and for three years she headed the writing team at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Now home living in Lyttelton, she continues to work freelance.
