Book Review: Society of the Snow
I see this book not only as a tale of endurance, but a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of solidarity.
Doyel finds herself to be a wanderer of sorts. She dips into sci-fi, fantasy, popular fiction and loves the giggles that come with a good old romance novel. She regularly geeks out over everything astronomy, but more recently her favourite reads have been children’s books from authors like Julia Donaldson, Emily Gravett, Emily Winfield Martin as she navigates life as a mum to her book-hungry toddler.
(Doyel has left Scorpio for other adventures, but we still love her reviews.)

I see this book not only as a tale of endurance, but a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of solidarity.

This is not just a story about solving a mystery: it’s a deeply personal exploration of life’s biggest questions.

The characters are complex and relatable, and their struggles in this nightmarish world evoke deep empathy.

As a passionate reader of mystery fiction, I can confidently say that this book is one of the finest in the genre.
