The Shock Doctrine
By Naomi Klein
Review by Kazia
This book should be required reading for anyone wanting to understand the state of the world and how we got here. With the attention to detail that you would expect of a respected journalist, Klein expertly exposes the horrific nature and crimes of free-market capitalism and its proponents. The sinister quality of this book’s contents makes it a heavy read but the value of the information contained within and its relevance to the political economy of today is substantial and should not be overlooked.
For readers of The Palestine Laboratory by Anthony Loewenstein, Caliban and the Witch by Silvia Federici, and Debt by David Graeber
