Book Review: The Serpent and the Wings of Night

This was a dramatic slow burn romance set in a rich fantasy world full of royals, secrets, blood and vampire politics. The main characters are interesting narrative parallels, both of them powerless and willing to do anything to change that: a vampiric former slave, and a human FMC who’s had to train as a warrior to prove herself worthy in a palace full of superhuman vampires. They have to fight in death games – think The Hunger Games meets the Underworld films. I adored it and I’m rushing onto book 2!
