The Love Contract
by Steph Vizard
Review by Angel
The Love Contract is a delightful modern rom-com that cleverly combines my favourite troupes; fake dating and enemies-to-lovers. The story follows Zoe, who, after being ghosted by her long-term boyfriend, finds herself in need of childcare as she returns to work. Enter Will, her neighbour and an unexpected ally, who agrees to help by posing as her fake boyfriend. What ensues is a charming and witty tale filled with humour, heart, and a touch of drama. Vizard skillfully navigates the complexities of Zoe and Will’s relationship, blurring the lines between truth and fiction in a way that feels both realistic and entertaining. The characters are well-developed and endearing, making it easy to root for their happiness. While the premise may seem light-hearted, the story also delves into deeper themes of love, friendship, and the importance of communication. Overall, The Love Contract is a feel-good read that will leave you smiling and satisfied.
