The Librarian of Auschwitz
By Antonio Iturbe
Review by Claude
A true account of a Czech girl sent to Auschwitz from the ghetto. Gives an enlightening perspective on the role that books, reading and education can play in withstanding such hardship. The protagonist is carried away from the horrors of the camp by her books. This book gives a new perspective on life behind the gates with different voices and experiences being told within the pages. An intriguing and emotional read.
