Freewheeling: Essays on Cycling
By Imogen Binnie
Review by Claude

A joyously eclectic collection on the superior way to get around- that is, cycling. From intimate discussions of gender and race to the ecstasy of a post-party Lime, Freewheeling explores the many layers and meanings cycling offers besides a simple means of A to B. Featuring some of writing’s most exciting and brightest stars including Wellington’s very own Ashleigh Young. I can vouch that this is a warming, and at times unexpectedly profound summer read, just light enough to accompany you on your bike this summer.
