Book Review: Encyclopedia of the Weird and Wonderful

Encyclopedia of the Weird and Wonderful
By Milo Rossi
Review by Mida

What a delightful book! Rossi has taken a selection of tidbits from history, science, sociology and more and has compiled them into one fascinating tome. With sharp humour, fun art and engaging design, there’s something for everyone. This book makes the world feel simultaneously bigger and more fantastical than before, giving you something new to love at the end of every chapter.

Because it is less of a cohesive narrative and more a sporadic selection of facts, it can feel a bit jarring to jump into. However, Rossi’s trademark humor and passion for knowledge shine through, and his enthusiasm is infectious, pulling you from one page to the next.

This is great for fans of How to Win Friends and Influence Fungi or people who want to up their pub quiz and trivia skills. The perfect book to pick up and put down – every time you flip to a new page, you’re sure to learn something new.
