Book Review: Daughters’ War

Daughter’s War
By Christopher Buehlman
Review by Josh

A prequel to Buehlman’s Blacktongue Thief, Daughter’s War wades its way through tragedy to deliver the origin story of the beloved Galvicha (Galva). Part of a new Raven unit tasked with recapturing and defending human civilisation from the seemingly insurmountable Goblin Horde, Galva’s path is one paved in sorrow. Beautifully written, Buehlman delivers a heart wrenching account of war, loss and pain without it ever feeling too heavy or overly melodramatic. Galva is up against odds most would deem impossible and yet shows strength and courage throughout. With a wonderful heroine to follow through the fields of battle, this is a story well worth your time.

For fans of Covenant of Steel series, The Blacktongue Thief and The Bloodsworn Saga.
