Nothing Bad Ever Happens Here
by Heather Rose
Review by Bel
An intriguing memoir from the author of Bruny and The Museum of Modern Love. I’m not a spiritual person, yet I found the lifelong journey described in this memoir fascinating. Rose is never bombastic or preachy, but curious, open and searching. She is courageous in a way I have no desire to be, but deeply admire all the same. I loved spending time with her unusual experiences, her connection with nature, her clarity of thought and the elegant simplicity of her perspective on life. Her words are wise, calm, and gentle – though I suspect in person she’s quite a force! Highly recommend.
