Me Anga Whakamua: Facing The Future

This exhibition held at The Hihiaua Cultural Center in October, 2020 celebrates the personal reflections by tangata whenua at the Tuia 250 event.

These portraits are a direct response to the memories and hopes for the future in response to 250 years since the ‘First Encounters’ of Maori and Captain Cook.
